Kim Delaney has won Emmy Awards for the role of Detective Diane Russell. Kim Delaney is known as the character Detective Diane Russell on ABC's NYPD Blue. The actress also starred on the drama series All My Children Philly, CSI: Miami, and Army Wives. Delaney was the child of an executive from the United Auto Workers who was also a mother. Delaney has four older brothers. In her early years she was aspired to become a court reporter. But after she graduated from high school, and moving into New York in the 1980s, she began modeling. As a teenager, her first role as an actor was on the soap opera of 1980 All My Children. Since then, Delaney has appeared in numerous films television movies and dramas. Her professional career has been better than her personal life. She is talented and gorgeous, has struggled with addiction to alcohol in the past. The marriages she has had failed twice. In 2005, she was denied custody of her only child she had.
